GRADE RR
GRADE RR
Welcome to Grade RR!
Play is the language of a child. In our school, we embrace this language to help them explore the world. Viewing play as a valuable opportunity for learning and growth, we recognise its role in the development of creative, cognitive, and social skills in children. To facilitate the communication of ideas and feelings, we make use of diverse forms of expression, including music, song, art and dance.
We believe in Gross Motor Development.
We believe in the active participation of our learners, both inside and outside the classroom. For this reason, we encourage movement through activities like jumping, swinging, climbing, and bouncing. Our learners receive a weekly lesson from a professional Child Kinesiologist, focusing on gross motor development at age-appropriate levels. These activities not only promote cognitive skills, but also help develop motor skills. We strive for each learner to have the opportunity to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.
This is where your school journey begins at Swartland Primary School.
Grade RR is a special time filled with fun and excitement, where learners develop within a supportive environment. This year marks the emergence of a love for learning and the joy of going to school. We look forward to supporting your child’s journey of discovery and encouraging playful exploration of the world.
“All kids need is [are] a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them.”
