Huis Basson – A Home Away from Home

Aftercare at Swartland Primary School provides a loving and homely environment for learners whose parents work. We offer this opportunity for learners to stay in a safe environment and, under the supervision of our staff, work on their homework and/or participate in extracurricular activities offered by the school.

Grade RR to Grade 4 learners meet at Huis Basson after school, where staff members supervise and assist learners with homework and tasks for the next day. This safe and supportive environment is intended to help our younger learners succeed in their schoolwork.

Senior Aftercare at Huis Landman

Grade 5 to 7 learners are transported by bus to Huis Landman, where they complete their homework during aftercare. They are also returned to school to participate in their extracurricular activities. They stay at the hostel until their parents fetch them. During this time, the learners receive a wholesome lunch from our dedicated hostel mother. This aftercare arrangement is specifically designed to provide older learners with the support they need to achieve their academic goals.
